     about me

Robert Franconi

My interest in computers began at an early age. Learning my street smarts playing 720° and Double Dragon, this also laid the foundation for a professional career through the tweaks and tricks required to get more gaming pleasure out of early computers.

A passion for computers lead to my study in computer science at Edith Cowan University. When not hard at study I also pursued my other interests of surfing and motorbikes.

Since graduation I have worked for a number of Web and multimedia companies. In addition to gaining a variety of programming skills, I also developed geek chic, a steady coffee addiction and smarter, faster more powerful googling.

Traveling aboard I experienced beautiful and rainy Vancouver. When not throwing myself down a mountain at Vancouver's Cypress Mountain I enjoyed climbing back up one at any of British Columbia's great national parks. Vancouver gave me an appreciation of micro-brewed beer, the environment, funny wooly hats and pizza by the slice. It also taught me valuable lessons like don't eat yellow snow and raccoons really do go through your trash. While in North America I enjoyed traveling, feel free to read about these adventures in our travel diary, created by my wonderful wife Kristy Sachse.

Returning to Perth with a new appreciation for this beautiful country, it was great to once again enjoy the beach and satisfy my desire for a cherry-ripe and most importantly remember to drive on the left side of the road.

Now a married man with a house and dog, I enjoy brewing beer, growing lawn and playing with power tools.
